Week 1 (29/08/19)

For this module, we have one project which is split into two parts which is the proposal and final outcome. For this project, we are required to find an asian folktale. With our chosen story we were required to make a interactive and interesting web novel.

An example given to us was the boat and also a Japanese infographic website to have a better understanding of what we have to do.

To start, I started by finding folktales and went looking into Japanese folktales. Below is a slide on the compilation of folktales that I've found.

Week 2 (05/09/19)
This week, I showed Mr Shamsul and Mr Lun the folktales that I have found. They advised me to use the Momotaro folktale as it was more interesting and I could input more interactive elements.

Week 3 (12/09/19)
This week we continued to work on the flowchart and the storyboard.

Week 4 (19/09/19)
This week, class was cancelled due to the haze. I continued to work on the proposal.

Week 5 (26/09/19)
This week, I got some feedback on what I've done so far, and continued to work on it further.

Week 6 (03/10/19)
This week, I made some changes and refined certain parts of my storyboard, moodpboard and flowchart which I compiled later on into a google slide.

Experience
For the proposal, I had a hard time figuring out the storyboard as I was trying to find the right composition and also how to portray the story well. There were many changes in the storyboard and constantly going back and forth as to which one was better.

Observation
I observe that watching videos on motion graphics on bechance helped me to better understand and come up with more interesting compositions that are dynamic and eye - catching.

Findings
I found that having a flowchart helped me to break down the story and have a better visualisation as to how everything should be laid out. I also found that having a smooth interactivity and little micro interaction was important to inform the user where to navigate and what the next step is.
