Today was the first day of class and we were briefed by the lecturer on all of the projects and also given a short lecture on the introduction to information design where we discussed about what it is and how it is used. Here is the slides that the lecturer presented.
Week 1 (09/01/19)
Today was presentation day where we had to give a lecture based on Manuel Lima's 9 Directives Manifesto along with 2 good infographics and 2 bad infographics. My group members are Jenifer, Linda, Megan, Tamara, Vava. Here is our presentation slide.
Feedback : We received feedback from Mr Kanan for our presentation which was instead of using bullet points to show the points we should use lines pointing to the area of the design that we are referring too so that people would have a better understanding.
Week 2 (14/01/19)
In this class, we got to present on Saul Wurman's L.A.T.C.H. with the slides that we as a group have prepared.
Week 2 (16/01/19)

Week 4 (28/01/19)
This week, we got to present on isometric design. It was a impromptu presentation as we were given 45 minutes to prepare the slides and present on the spot. Here are the slides my group prepared.
EXERCISE 1
Week 1 (07/01/19)
Today we were briefed on our first exercise where we had to create a poster based on the data that we have which was done through an activity of button counting. Here is the data that I have collected that was categorised into 3 categories which were size, number of holes and texture and also the picture of the buttons.
The lecturer also gave us examples of posters that were done in the past to get a better idea. Here are the references and at the end of the class she told us to make some sketches and prepare the presentation slides for Wednesday.
Week 2 (08/01/19)
Today Mr Shamsul showed us some past work for the final project and both him and Mr Jeffery gave us a brief on an exercise to make a infographic video comparing either food, music or sports. I chose food and compared between waffles and pancakes, calorie wise. Here are some process pictures and the final outcome.
Exercise 1 - Button Infographic
I did some sketches on the layout of the infographic and also decided that my target audience would be young teenage girls from age 12 - 15. Here are some of the sketches.
Here is the compiled data that I took from the drive that contained the compiled data.
After compiling the data and knowing how to lay it out, I started to create the poster. Here are some process pics.
Here is the Final Outcome.
AE Dynamic Numbers
Week 2 (15/01/19)
Week 2 (15/01/19)
For today's class, Mr Jeff taught us how to add effects to numbers on Adobe After Effects.
Here is the final outcome.
L.A.T.C.H
Week 2 - Week 4 (14/01/19 - 03/02/19)
In this class, we were introduced to our second exercise in which we are required to organise Pokemon characters using L.A.T.C.H.
To start off, I went and search up pokemons from the same region which was alola region as it had one of my favourite pokemons which was Rowlet. My four chosen pokemons were rowlet, popplio, vulpix and rockruff.
I used alola region to show location, and also used the names of each evolution for alphabet. Time and hierarchy was shown through the evolution in terms of size and also how it has evolve. Lastly category was shown through their power type such as fire type or fairy type.
Here are the pokemons that I illustrated and also the island that I illustrated on Adobe illustration before arranging the composition and moving it to After Effects.
Here's the final outcome.
